Simultaneous/ Multiple Enrollments:

Students enrolled in other colleges may also enroll in any program offered at MedNoc Training College. However, students enrolled at MTC are limited to a maximum of three programs simultaneously. Approval from the College Director is required for enrollment in more than one program at a time, except for CNA and HHA or BLS and any other program combination. Approval is contingent upon ensuring no schedule conflicts and the student is in good academic standing.

The student must complete a Financial Agreement and Enrollment Agreement reflecting enrollment in all selected programs. Multiple program selections can be indicated on the same Student Application form.

Criminal Background Screening:

Students enrolled in a program with 40 or more clock hours and with clinical components must submit a Criminal Background Check conducted within the last thirty (30) days from the program’s start date at MedNoc Training College.

MedNoc offers a Criminal Background Screening service for $35.00. The school does not accept copies of criminal background screenings directly from students. However, the school may accept a background check conducted by a sponsoring company if the company emails it directly to the school.

No student will be permitted to attend clinical rotations without completing a Criminal Background Check and receiving clearance from the clinical facility. MedNoc Training College will conduct the criminal background screening within three (3) days after the program has started.

TB Screening:

MedNoc Training College requires a negative TB skin screen test conducted within the last thirty (30) days from the student’s start date for clinical attendance. MTC conducts TB skin screen tests for $35.00. Students must present negative TB test results before participating in clinical activities. Students with a positive TB skin screen test must provide a negative chest X-ray, with results interpreted by a physician. MTC accepts chest X-rays conducted within the last six months from the start of clinical. Students failing to submit proof of a negative TB test will not be permitted to attend clinical sessions.

Drug Testing:

Some clinical sites may mandate drug/substance testing before allowing students to attend rotations. Therefore, students must abstain from drugs, substances, and alcohol to participate in clinical rotations. Students should verify their course requirements to ascertain if a drug test is necessary. For courses requiring drug tests, students must pay MTC $50.00 for testing fees. The Director of Admissions and Registrations will then schedule appointments with clinics for student drug testing.

Basic Life Support:

Students enrolled in a program with 40 or more clock hours must possess a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA). Students can obtain their BLS training at MedNoc Training College for $60.00. MedNoc Training College only accepts BLS cards issued by the AHA. Students without a current BLS certification from the AHA will not be permitted to attend clinical or externship sessions.

Dress Code:

School uniforms are mandatory for students enrolled in programs with more than 40 clock hours or clinical requirements. Students must wear school uniforms and a photo name badge during classes, skills labs, clinical rotations, and on test days. MedNoc Training College will issue the name badge by the first day of class or during enrollment. Failure to comply with the dress code may result in the instructor sending the student home. School uniforms from MedNoc Training College must include the school logo, so students are encouraged to purchase them from the school.

Students are required to dress modestly and professionally, considering others such as students, instructors, potential employers, patients, and residents. This includes avoiding cleavage, bare midriffs, sleeveless tops, shorts, shower shoes, slippers, or flip-flops. Closed-toe shoes must always be worn, and clothing should not display curse words or offensive writing. Students must maintain proper grooming and hygiene standards, ensuring a neat and presentable appearance. Tattoos must be covered with a white or black long-sleeved undershirt. Excessive body piercings, fake nails, and jewelry must be removed, except for wedding bands and single earrings, which are permitted. Wearing caps or hats at school or clinical sites is generally prohibited, except for religious reasons. Students may only wear caps or hats with the MTC logo on school premises.

Photo Name Badge:

MedNoc Training College will issue a name badge to each student by the first day of class or during enrollment. The name badge must display the student’s first name, last name, and their title as “student.” Students must always wear their name badge while in the classroom, skills lab, and clinical sites.

Covid-19 Immunization Policy:

MedNoc Training College does not mandate COVID-19 vaccination for students or employees. However, if a student’s program includes clinical attendance and the clinical site requires proof of COVID-19 vaccination, the student must ensure they meet this requirement to participate in scheduled clinical training. The college will not waive its COVID-19 vaccine policy or masking requirement if mandated by the clinical site.

Mask Wearing Policy:

Regardless of vaccination status, all students and employees can wear masks while on campus at MedNoc Training College if they choose to do so. The college does not mandate mask-wearing for students or employees. However, some clinical sites may enforce mask-wearing requirements during Covid-19 or other disease outbreaks.

COVID-19 Exposure Return to School Policy:

If students test positive for COVID-19 while attending school, they may be required to quarantine according to current CDC guidelines and can return based on CDC guidelines.

Immunization:

Students enrolled in a program with clinical components must receive a flu shot during flu season. Students without a flu shot must always wear a mask at the clinical site. Additionally, these students must sign a waiver acknowledging their choice not to receive a flu vaccine and agree to wear a mask as required at the clinical site. Students opting to wear masks must provide their own at personal expense, which is not included in the program’s total cost. Specific programs may require additional immunization records before students can attend clinicals. During enrollment, students should inquire about immunization requirements with the Admissions and Registration Office.

The table below outlines some of the immunizations that may be required before students are allowed to participate in clinicals for certain programs:
